the STAGE DIRECTIONS

The following is information pertaining to the rules and terms of service here at Forever Dawn. Generally speaking we like to go by a three strikes, and you are out system. First and second offenses will result in PM warnings to correct the problem, while a third offense may result in expulsion from the site depending on the severity of the situation. The Forever Dawn administration reserves the right to dismiss any member at any time at their discretion. All members will be held accountable to following these rules. Please keep FD a friendly role playing environment by adhering to the rules, thanks!

the basics,

1. Respect. Respect your fellow members. This includes the administration. We will not tolerate any sort of derogatory remarks (racism, sexism, etc), insults, fighting, or drama. Do not pick fights here at Forever Dawn, please take it elsewhere if you must. Be courteous and tactful. Treat everyone how you would like to be treated. This is the golden rule people.

2. No Spamming. This one is pretty self explanatory. Just don't post the same thing repeatedly or post things that do not belong on the site. Everything has a proper place. Do not spam advertisements and make sure you post any advertisement in the proper board. Spamming is a big no-no!

3. No Plagiarism. No copying or stealing from others. It's impolite and unfair to steal someone's hard work. Please be original or at least ask for permission and give credit before using someone's work. imitation is not always the "sincerest form of flattery".

4. First and Last. When registering an account, you must register under your character's first and last name only. This is mandatory no exceptions. You will be asked to re-register if you use something other than first and last name of your character.

5. Lower Case. Please use only lower case letters when registering. No Caps!

6. No Symbols. Please do not use any sort of numbers, symbols, underscores, slashes, or spaces in your user name when registering.

7. One Character Per Account. You may not have more than one character per account. Even twins much have a separate account each.


8. Two Weeks. Once you have registered an account you have two weeks to at least start work on an application. After two weeks the inactive account will be deleted.

9. Canon List. A canon list of available canon characters is located at the preface board HERE. If you choose to play a canon character please be sure to check the list for availability before applying for a canon character. If you find that the character you are looking for is not located on the list please contact an admin for assistance.

10. Keep it Real. Awesome! You've chosen to play a Twilight canon character. Please make sure that your canon characters stay in character. They must as they are portrayed in the Twilight Saga, including their abilities personalities, appearance, etc. No exceptions! We don't want to hear that any of the Cullens suddenly dyed their hair, that Bella and Edward are capable of having more children, or anything else along those lines. Please keep it real.

Remember. We will be a lot more critical of a canon character application to make sure that the portrayal stays in canon and fits into the Forever Dawn's plot. Creativity is encouraged, but please get to know the character you choose to portray.

11. Application Template. You may only use Forever Dawn's application template to apply on FD. No Exceptions. Any other templates or applications will be declined and you will be asked to re-apply. The application template is located HERE. please copy and paste the template code and post your application under the pending auditions board located HERE. Once it is complete it shall be reviewed and if accepted it shall be moved to the appropriate list of characters board.

12. One Month. Once you have started an application you may continue working on this application at your leisure for one month. If the application is still incomplete after one month from the date that the application is posted, the application will be declined and the account will be deleted. You may try again at a later time if you so choose.


13. Mary or Gary? Oh, no! Everyone is different. Everyone has their own virtue's and flaws that separate us as individuals from each other. Remember this when you create your character. Do not make a cookie cutter character that is "perfect" or too much like someone else. We don't need several Edward's or Bella's running around the site. Be imperfect, be exciting, be unique! No Mary Sue or Gary Stu here on Forever Dawn, thanks!

14. Face Claim. No two characters may have the same face claim. Make sure that you check the Face Claim list HERE before you select a PB (play by) or Face claim (whatever you want to call it). The only exception to this rule is twins. A set of twins may have the same PB.

15. Official Cast. Forever Dawn will be enforcing the official cast of the Twilight Saga films. All canon characters that have been cast in the movies must use the actor or actress officially cast in the films. (ex. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson must be used as the face claims for Edward and Bella). No exceptions. This only applies to characters that have been cast in the movies.

16. Five is Nice! Want to make more than one character on Forever Dawn? That's great! However, to keep steady activity we would appreciate that no one exceed a maximum amount of five characters. The administration will keep track of this. Any accounts that fall inactive during an activity sweep (held every 30 days) will be deleted.

17. Gender Ratio. Here at Forever Dawn we would like to keep a fairly even female to male ratio in the character population, a 2:1 ration preferably. If you decide to make more than one character please try to keep this in mind and not make all of your characters the same gender.

18. Before You Post . . . Your application MUST be accepted BEFORE you post anywhere else on Forever Dawn. This is includes face claim, OOC areas, etc. You may only post your application in the pending audition area. Once you are accepted then feel free to post anywhere you please.

19. No God-modding. God-modding is basically taking action for another role player with out their consent or agreement. We do not allow this on Forever Dawn. You can not make any sort of action to physically affect, impregnate, harm, kill, or move another character with out the role player's permission or with out allowing them to make their own reaction. This also means that you can not be aware of another character's thoughts or comment and react to those thoughts (unless of course you are Edward . . .)

20. Multiples. Posting multiple characters on one account is not allowed. Don't be lazy post each of your characters on their own separate account.

21. Chat Speak. Big no, no. The use of "U" or "R" instead of spelling out the proper words will not be tolerated. Use proper spelling and grammar. Use that spell check people. It works!

22. Point of View. Posts should always be written in third person point of view, past tense.

23. No One Liners. As you may well know (and probably have been told repeatedly) this is an intermediate to advanced role play and as such, we will not tolerate one liner posts -- or just a couple of sentences either. Genuinely try for a couple of paragraphs of good content that is organized, grammatically correct, and makes sense. To insure this is the case or all posts, the word count (or word limit, minimum) has been set to 500 words. Trust us, it's not hard to reach this. For offenders, we will go with the Three Strikes system. One time offender, you've been warned. Two times, you've been warned again. Three times, you're banned. However, we won't warn you if you post one or two posts under the limit. We understand writer's block, but don't make it a habit! (If you are RPing with someone who is posting posts shorter than 500 words, please PM an admin immediately.)

24. Profanity and Sexual Content. Okay, granted this is a site rated M for Mature. We do ask however that members keep the profanity, sexual, content, and violence to a minimum. If a thread appears to be getting to a certain extreme PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make sure that a content rating is placed on the subject heading of the thread as a warning that there is explicit content within the thread. A simple "(NC-17)", "(R)", or "(Mature)" will suffice.

25. Reserving. You may reserve a thread with another member by clearly marking the thread in the subject or in the beginning of the first post. use bold, clear font to mark your reserved threads. Also it is common courtesy for other members not to post in a thread marked for someone else.

26. Fonts, Colors, and Sizes, Oh My! a. Try not to use bright colors that clash with the board's colors. b. use legible fonts (make sure that these aren't personal downloaded fonts as others may not be able to see them). c. Do not use tiny font sizes or extremely large ones. Keep it between sizes 1, 2, and 3.

27. Explicit Material. We do not allow any nude or explicit graphics/pictures on Forever Dawn.

28. Graphics Sizes. We do not have set sizes for graphics here on Forever Dawn, however, we do ask that everyone keep their graphics to a reasonable size that does not stretch out the boards. We don't want things to look tacky now do we? Try 100 x 100 for your icons and no larger that 700 pixels for the height of all other graphics.

This is a canon Twilight role play based on the Twilight Saga book series written by Stephanie Meyer. Here at Forever Dawn we remain true to the original book series, no deviations, alterations, or alternate universe situations. Please help us keep true to the series by staying with in the confines of Stephanie's Twlight universe and keep all canon characters as she envisioned them.

The Forever Dawn administration feels that these rules are reasonable, just, and fair. Don't agree? Then perhaps this is not the role play for you. We reserve the right to dismiss any member from the site at any given time. We have a no tolerance policy regarding all of the above rules. The administration rules can be amended, updated, and modified at any time at our discretion.
